We are actively seeking experienced Quality Engineers to join and grow in the PPG organization.\r\nThe Quality Engineer is responsible for real-time problem solving, process improvements, as well as customer and internal quality management system requirements. This position works directly on the production floor alongside production machinists, inspectors, programmers, supervisors, and leadership to identify root causes, reduce defects, improve process capability, and ensure compliance to customer, AS9100, and internal quality requirements. The ideal candidate is proactive, technically strong, and comfortable making timely decisions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment involving tight-tolerance machined castings and complex customer requirements.\r\nHighlights and Benefits\r\nQuarterly profit-sharing bonus; eligible upon hire\r\nPaid time off\r\n401(k) with company match\r\nPaid holidays\r\nTuition / professional development reimbursement\r\nHealth, dental, and vision insurance\r\nOptional HSA with company contribution\r\nShort-term disability, long term disability, and life insurance at no cost\r\nLimitless opportunity for advancement\r\nRequirements:Provide immediate hands-on support for production quality issues on the manufacturing floor.\r\nTroubleshoot dimensional, cosmetic, tooling, fixturing, and process-related nonconformances.\r\nWork directly with production machinists, setup personnel, programmers, and inspectors to resolve issues in real time.\r\nSupport first-piece approvals, in-process inspections, and final acceptance activities.\r\nAssist with part over-inspections\r\nReview machining processes for potential quality risks and recommend corrective actions.\r\nParticipate in MRB activities and disposition support for nonconforming material.\r\nLead and / or support root cause investigations\r\nDrive containment and corrective actions to prevent recurrence of defects.\r\nMonitor effectiveness of corrective actions and validate sustainable improvements.\r\nSupport customer complaint investigations and response development.\r\nEnsure compliance with: AS9100, Customer specifications, Internal quality procedures, and NADCAP-related requirements (where applicable)\r\nAssist with internal, customer, and third-party audits.\r\nSupport maintenance and improvement of quality documentation and control plans.\r\nReview and approve quality-related process documentation and inspection plans.\r\nAnalyze scrap, rework, and defect trends to identify improvement opportunities.\r\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives focused on: Yield improvement, scrap reduction, process capability, operator error reduction, and inspection efficiency\r\nCollaborate with manufacturing engineering and operations to improve process stability.\r\nSupport and troubleshoot CMM, gauging, and inspection-related issues.\r\nVerify measurement techniques and inspection methods are effective and repeatable.\r\nAssist in gauge selection, validation, and MSA activities.\r\nKnowledge, skills, and abilities\r\nBachelors degree in engineering, manufacturing, quality, or related technical field preferred.\r\nAbility and willingness to adhere to a second shift schedule; typical hours 3p--1130p\r\nPrevious experience in a Quality Technician or similar role may be considered in lieu of degree.\r\nMinimum 35 years in a quality functional role\r\nExperience working in an AS9100-certified environment required.\r\nFamiliarity with AS13100 compliance requirements preferred\r\nASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) preferred.\r\nExperience with turbine components, complex castings, or tight-tolerance machining highly preferred.\r\nLean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience preferred.\r\nPrinceton Precision Group abides by applicable export control laws including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) in accordance with the company's export control procedures.
