Job Description Litigation Attorney Direct Counsel is partnering with a nationally recognized AmLaw 200 law firm to identify a mid-level Associate Attorney with 5+ years of experience to join its Litigation Business Unit in Houston or Dallas, TX . Full-time position with ability to work remotely a few days per week. Candidates must hold an active Texas Bar license . The ideal candidate will possess the following experience and skills: Prior representation of clients in oil and gas matters, including oil and gas royalty disputes, quiet title and trespass actions, and regulatory disputes.Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast paced, high-volume environmentTrial preparation and courtroom experience, including file responsibility, motion practice, and deposition experienceExperience working with e-discovery softwareExceptional advocacy, research, writing, and negotiation skillsStrong academic credentialsDetail-oriented and highly organized with a solid work ethicStrong interpersonal and communication skillsCompensation & Benefits:Salary range: $175,000 – $200,000 annually (DOE).Eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.Comprehensive benefits including health insurance with HSA/FSA optionsDentalVisionShort-term and long-term disabilityLife insurance401(k)Vacation and sick timeParking/public transportation allowanceEmployee assistance program.
