Material Handler

Material HandlerWage: $18-$20/hourShift: 1stHours: 7:00am-4:00pm Monday-Friday, Overtime may be required based on business needsMaterial Handler Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:Receive, inspect, and store inbound raw materials and suppliesPerform bulk offloads safely and efficientlyExecute WMS and ERP transactions accurately for receipts, transfers, and inventory movementsMaintain warehouse organization, cleanliness, and safety standardsStage and deliver materials to support daily production needsReturn unused materials to inventory and ensure accurate system transactionsCommunicate material shortages or discrepancies to supervisors and production teamsPick, stage, and prepare outbound shipments according to customer and shipping requirementsLoad trucks using forklifts or other material-handling equipmentEnsure shipping documentation and system transactions are accurate and completePerform cycle counts and support inventory accuracy initiativesUtilize RF scanners and barcode systemsSupport basic WMS maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement effortsOperate forklifts and material-handling equipment safelyCommunicate clearly and professionally across departmentsComply with all safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirementsMaterial Handler Requirements:High school diploma or equivalentWMS or ERP system experience preferredForklift experience and/or certification preferredPrevious experience in chemical, food, or industrial manufacturing or warehousing environments preferredFamiliarity with scanning and barcode technologyClear cross-functional communication skillsEnglish speaking, bi-lingual Spanish a plusStrong work ethic, problem-solving skills, positive attitude, and team-centered mentalityAbility to stand for extended periods of timeLift up to 50 pounds and ability to operate a forkliftWear safety glasses and steel toe boots at all timesWear other types of personnel protection safety equipmentQPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
