The Project Engineer mentors junior engineers and plays a key role in driving process improvements, representing a critical step in the progression toward senior technical and leadership positions.\n\nPrimary Duties:\n\nTechnical Execution & Accountability\n\nOwn the technical execution, accuracy, and quality of engineering deliverables for assigned projects\nPerform and review engineering calculations, specifications, and construction documents\nEnsure compliance with applicable building codes, standards, and internal quality requirements\nServe as a technical problem-solver for complex or non-standard design challenges\nSign and seal work as required\n\nProject Ownership & Delivery\n\nManage engineering workflow and technical deliverables across assigned projects\nDrive schedule planning and forecasting in coordination with Project Managers and operations\nTrack project progress, deliverables, and milestones to support on-time delivery\nCoordinate engineering scope and priorities with internal stakeholders\n\nCustomer & External Interaction\n\nParticipate in and lead technical discussions with customers, partners, and consultants\nManage external correspondence with customers, trade partners, and Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs)\nSupport customer meetings by providing technical expertise and solutions\n\nQuality, Risk & Compliance\n\nEnforce quality control standards and conduct technical reviews\nIdentify, assess, and mitigate technical risks and constructability issues\nSupport delegated contract review and technical risk evaluation\n\nMentorship & Process Improvement\n\nMentor and guide Staff and Associate Engineers\nSupport knowledge transfer, documentation, and training efforts\nImplement process improvements, tools, and workflow enhancements\n\nGeneral Responsibilities\n\nUse available resources efficiently and effectively\nPerform other duties as assigned\n\nKnowledge:\n\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering required\nProfessional Engineer (PE) licensure required\n4+ years of progressive engineering experience that directly aligns with the technical execution, project delivery, and responsibilities of this role\nAdvanced knowledge of engineering principles, codes, and standards\nThorough understanding of project workflows and schedules\nStrong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite\nAdvanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and engineering systems\nKnowledge of quality control and risk mitigation practices\n\nSkills & Abilities:\n\nClear, confident communication skills in technical and customer-facing settings\nDemonstrates leadership through collaboration, mentoring, and influence\nStrong organizational and project-management skills\nHigh level of attention to detail and accountability for accuracy\nAbility to drive timelines and meet deadlines\nCommitment to thorough and precise work\nProactive and helpful problem-solving approach\nAbility to build strong production relationships with internal and external stakeholders\n\nWork Environment/Physical Demands:\n\nGeneral Office Environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk and hear.
