{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"3e39d01ac797b4c91b36e86f","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/3e39d01ac797b4c91b36e86f","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/3e39d01ac797b4c91b36e86f","title":"SolidWorks Designer","description":"Statement of Work – SolidWorks/NX Designer\nQuality & Materials Department, Design/Drafting Group\nThe Seller shall provide a Designer to work in the Design/Drafting Group of the Applied Physics & Superconducting Technology Division of DOE.\nRequirements:\nThe Designer will work onsite under limited supervision to prepare mechanical designs and drawings utilizing NX1980 and Teamcenter, correctly applying the ASME Y14.5-M-1994 (or higher) GD&T standard.\nThis work will be done to support projects within APS-TD DUNE.\nThe work will be done using Design/Drafting procedures, working to meet project schedules and other requirements, and will include working directly with the engineering staff working on the projects to research and analyze design solutions, coordinate design development, and specify and select design components and materials.\nKnowledge of NX 1980 and Teamcenter is beneficial.\nDeliverables:\nDesign tolerance and stack up calculations, layout designs, detailing, advanced level 3D models, and 2D drawings required for the project.\nDeliverable Format and Quantity:\n3D models and 2D drawings are completed in SolidWorks, managed in Windchill, NX and Team Center.\nQuantity will be directed by DOE for each task.\nKnowledge of NX 1980 and Teamcenter is beneficial.\nQuality Assurance:\nWork shall be performed in accordance with the DOE QAM and APS-TD and Design/Drafting Procedures.\nAll work will be reviewed, checked, and approved by DOE staff responsible for the specific task.\nLocation of Work:\nOnsite at Batavia, IL 60510 with possibility of remote work\n8-hour shift between 7am – 5pm\nPre-requirements:\nDemonstrate acceptable proficiency in SolidWorks/NX via an interview through the ZOOM meeting portal.\nA minimum of a 5 years of experience as Designer.\nAbility to deliver a quality work product to deadline-driven projects.\nJob Type: Contract\nPay: $65.67 -
