DescriptionInterns serve in a specific ministry area, participate in a weekly cohort experience, and collaborate with other staff and volunteers to help the programming and ministry operations of Northshore flourish.Reports to: Head of ministry area focusClassification: Dec 1, 2025 - May 1, 2026 (negotiable)Temporary Part-Time (10 hours)KEY RESPONSIBILITIESPartner with staff and volunteers to support ministries of Northshore.Explore pastoral/vocational ministry calling through weekly meetings with leadership cohort, relevant Northshore staff meetings, and a weekly 1-on- 1 with supervisor.Execute other duties as situation requires or as assigned by supervisorPerform administrative duties as suitable to the particular ministry area focus and as assigned by manager. For other roles, preferred. (Accessibility to certification provided, if needed)Possesses excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills MINISTRY FOCUS AREASChildren, Youth, and Family Ministries (CYFM)- Partners with CYFM staff and volunteers in children's or youth programming, helping to encourage, equip, and train volunteers.Special Needs Ministry (part of CYFM)- Partners with staff to engage and equip volunteers in the launching of the one-on-one Sunday ministry for children with special needs. Collaborate with ministries to support families of children with special needs and families that are involved with the foster care system.Mission & Outreach - Collaborates with the Mission and Outreach team to serve and support Northshore's ministry partnerships, neighborhood outreach, and beyond.Worship/Creative Arts/Tech - Partners with the Worship & Creative Arts in leading the congregation through the Sunday experience, ensuring flow from start to finish. Help plan, schedule, and lead worship, providing weekly and special worship services at Northshore.Hospitality- Ministers to volunteers and congregants at in-person services and re-engages volunteers in the training of new guidelines for in-person serving.Adult Ministries Partners with adult ministry staff to develop and support weekly ministry and discipleship classes.OTHER SPECIFICATIONSWork Schedule: Typical work hours include Sundays 8am - 1pm, and the remaining hours flexible and varying as determined by employee and ministry lead, potentially late evenings, early mornings.Physical Demands: Must be able to work in an office environment, often at a computer workstation. Must be able to move between buildings on campus. Must be able to lift small boxes and/or equipment up to 25lbs.
