Learn more through this link: Non-Classified Benefits Package.\n\nSo, if you're interested in a great job working alongside great people, this may be the opportunity for which you've been waiting.\n\nDescription of Job\nThe Auraria Campus is seeking an IT Database Administrator who will be responsible for the installation, operation, and maintenance of the agency's (20+) SQL Database Servers, which facilitate several agency applications (EMS, TMA, MIP/Microix, MS Access Tables, Tableau, etc.).\n\nMS SQL and Access Database Administration:\nInstall and maintain the performance of all agency databases servers.\nDevelop processes for optimizing and maintaining database security.\nPerformance tuning of database systems.\nInstall, upgrade, and manage database applications.\nDiagnose and troubleshoot database errors.\nRecommend and implement emerging database technologies.\nCreate and manage database reports, visualizations, and dashboards.\nAvailable for planned outages/upgrades and emergency response to critical situations during off hours as necessary.\nMaintain, update, and catalog all customized access databases, queries, and macros.\nDatabase Application Support:\nAdministers the Auraria Campus's Event Management System (EMS).\nSupport and administration of both internal agency users and external campus constituents, external vendors, and others that facilitate the scheduling of all courses and events on campus.\nOversees the system processes to facilitate the classroom/finals scheduling process in a timely manner to meet pre-specified deadlines each semester.\nProvides consultation and guidance to internal and external agencies regarding the policies, configuration, and operation of the internal system as well as similar external systems when requested.\nDirect and assist institutions with functional testing of the systems while evaluating updates and upgrades to their student information.\nTMA Work Order System:\nAct as Primary Database Administrator for the Facilities Management TMA Work Order system.\n\nAct as technical project lead to perform all tasks within all established change control guidelines for notification, testing, and scheduling.\nProvide troubleshooting support by working with end users, system documentation, and vendors.\nDashboarding System Integrations:\nAct as Primary Database Administrator for all agency technologies used for Dashboarding systems (Tableau, MS Access/Excel, Power BI, etc.)\nPerform all tasks related to data migrations, table mapping and the import/export processes needed to facilitate various agency Dashboards.\nCoordinates testing, scheduling, installation, configuration, and monitoring of developed processes.\nProvide troubleshooting support by working with end users, system documentation, and vendors. Properly document and archive all related coding, configuration information and procedures necessary to the ongoing successful operation of the agency dashboards.\n\nMinimum Qualifications, Substitutions, Conditions of Employment & Appeal Rights\nProfessional Requirements:\nA bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Computer Science or a related field.
