forecasts, and financial reporting.\r\nReview and approve project cost reports, billings, change orders, and procurement commitments.\r\nIdentify financial risks and implement corrective actions to protect margins and contractual entitlements.\r\nContract Administration & Risk Management\r\nReview and negotiate prime contracts, subcontracts, purchase agreements, and project-specific terms and conditions.\r\nLead project risk assessments and proactively manage contractual, operational, schedule, and financial risks.\r\nOversee management of RFIs, submittals, notices, change orders, and project documentation.\r\nEnsure compliance with company policies, contractual requirements, and applicable codes and regulations.\r\nClient Relations & Business Development\r\nServe as the primary executive-level point of contact for owners, general contractors, engineers, and key stakeholders.\r\nBuild and maintain long-term client relationships that promote repeat business and strategic partnerships.\r\nSupport business development efforts through client engagement, project pursuits, presentations, and preconstruction activities.\r\nParticipate in project interviews, proposal development, and contract negotiations as needed.\r\nProcurement & Resource Management\r\nLead procurement strategy and major buyout activities for equipment, materials, and subcontracted work.\r\nReview and approve key vendor and subcontractor selections and agreements.\r\nCollaborate with operations leadership to optimize labor, equipment, and resource allocation across projects.\r\nSupport workforce planning and staffing strategies to ensure successful project execution.\r\nField Operations Support\r\nPartner with Superintendents and field leadership to drive project performance, productivity, and accountability.\r\nResolve complex constructability, scheduling, and coordination challenges.\r\nFacilitate project planning sessions and ensure alignment between field and office teams.\r\nSupport implementation of lean construction practices and continuous improvement initiatives.\r\nChange Management & Resolution\r\nLead the identification, pricing, negotiation, and resolution of complex change orders.\r\nEnsure timely documentation and recovery of all project impacts related to scope changes, delays, disruptions, and unforeseen conditions.\r\nSupport dispute avoidance and resolution efforts while protecting company interests.\r\nQuality & Safety Leadership\r\nChampion a culture of safety, quality, and accountability throughout all assigned projects.\r\nEnsure compliance with company safety programs, site-specific requirements, and regulatory standards.\r\nParticipate in incident investigations and corrective action planning as necessary.\r\nOversee project quality assurance and quality control programs to ensure successful turnover and client satisfaction\r\nTeam Development & Mentorship\r\nMentor and develop Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, Project Engineers, and emerging leaders.\r\nProvide coaching, performance feedback, and professional development support.\r\nPromote best practices in project management, financial management, documentation, and client service.\r\nContribute to succession planning and organizational development initiatives.\r\nProject Closeout & Continuous Improvement\r\nEnsure successful project turnover, commissioning support, training, warranty management, and final financial reconciliation.\r\nLead project reviews and lessons-learned sessions to improve future project performance.\r\nIdentify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiencies across the organization.\r\nRequired Qualifications\r\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required.\r\nMinimum 812 years of progressively responsible project management experience in mechanical contracting, construction, or related industries.\r\nProven experience managing large-scale, complex mechanical construction projects with significant financial responsibility.\r\nStrong understanding of mechanical systems, construction means and methods, project sequencing, scheduling, and coordination.\r\nDemonstrated success in budget management, forecasting, contract administration, and risk mitigation.\r\nAbility to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and technical documentation.\r\nExceptional leadership, communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.\r\nValid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as required.\r\nPreferred Qualifications\r\nBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Business, or related field.\r\nExperience managing design-build, negotiated, industrial, healthcare, data center, mission-critical, or large commercial projects.\r\nProfessional certifications such as PMP, CCM, LEED, DBIA, or equivalent.\r\nExperience leading multiple project teams simultaneously.\r\nStrong working knowledge of Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and ERP/job-cost accounting
