We are seeking candidates with strong mechanical skills, a willingness to grow, and excellent attendance. These are second-shift positions, though training is typically completed on the first shift. Please note that the manufacturing environment is subject to seasonal temperature changes, where it can be hot during the summer months and cooler during the winter months.\n\nDuties/Responsibilities:\n\nMaintain a high standard for safety, workmanship, product quality and productivity.\n\nPrimarily a support role running multiple pieces of tool room equipment to make parts to print.\n\nProficiency in multiple machines and above average knowledge is expected.\n\nBuild, rework, maintain, and repair all forms of tooling using available equipment and resources.\n\nWork from design prints, sketches, sample parts and oral instructions.\n\nPersonally, possess basic inspection and machining skills to effectively perform your job.\n\nDetermine the best method to manage and complete a project by a designated due date.\n\nWork as a team lead as well as a team member depending on the departmental workload.\n\nEffectively communicate with other personnel and educate others in best practices.\n\nMaintain accurate documentation of tool modifications, repair, preventative maintenance and individual work performed throughout the shift.\n\nSafely use a forklift, crane or jib hoist to move materials and tooling.\n\nActively participate in the 5S program, which is to Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain in order to maintain a highly productive work environment.\n\nAssumes additional responsibilities as needed or directed in support of the Company’s goals.\n\nPerforms other duties as assigned.\n\nRequired Skills/Abilities:\n\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to safely and accurately operate all measuring and production equipment, to include: all common machining equipment, mills, lathes, grinders, etc.\nAbility to program computer-controlled tool room equipment.\nProtoTRAK programming a plus.\nWorking knowledge of geometry, trigonometry, and algebra.\nAbility to work independently, and with engineers and machinists.\nProficient with computer-aided design (CAD) software.\nProficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.\nAbility to Stick and TIG weld is preferred.\nUse of all inspection measurement equipment standard in the tool making industry\nTime management skills and the ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.\nRead, understand and follow specifications and prints.\n\nEducation and Experience:\n\nHigh school diploma or equivalent.
