As we continue to grow, we’re looking for talented, hardworking people who want to grow with us.\nIf you’re looking for a place where your work matters, your contributions are noticed, and you can be part of what we’re building, we’d like to meet you.\nThe Opportunity: The Hydrotesting Technician is responsible for the safe and accurate hydrostatic, pneumatic, and functional testing of industrial valves and related equipment to ensure compliance with customer specifications, industry standards, and MVP quality requirements. This position plays a critical role in delivering reliable products by performing testing, documenting results, identifying deficiencies, and supporting production operations as needed.\nThe ideal candidate possesses strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality and safety. Depending on experience, this individual may perform testing independently or work alongside experienced technicians while developing additional technical expertise.\nDuties/Responsibilities: Perform hydrostatic, pneumatic, shell, seat, and functional testing of valves and actuators.\nSafely set up valves, fixtures, hoses, gauges, and testing equipment for pressure testing.\nVerify proper test pressures, hold times, and acceptance criteria in accordance with customer specifications and applicable industry standards.\nMonitor testing operations and accurately identify leaks, failures, or operational deficiencies.\nTroubleshoot testing issues and communicate findings to supervisors and QA/QC personnel.\nAssist with valve assembly and disassembly.\nSupport inspection, cleaning, tagging, painting, packaging, and shipping preparation of finished products.\nOperate forklifts, overhead cranes, and other material handling equipment in a safe manner.\nAssist with material movement throughout the production facility.\nSupport other production and service activities based on business needs.\nDrain, clean, preserve, and prepare valves following successful completion of testing.\nFollow all company safety policies and procedures while working around pressurized equipment.\nMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work area utilizing 5S principles.\nInspect testing equipment and report maintenance or calibration needs.\nParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve quality, efficiency, and safety.\nEnsure all work meets MVP quality standards and customer expectations.\nMaintain accurate testing documentation, reports, and inspection records.\nRequired Skills/Abilities: Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.\nAbility to safely work with pressurized systems and industrial equipment.\nAbility to read work orders, engineering drawings, specifications, and testing procedures.\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.\nBasic computer skills for documentation and data entry.\nAbility to work independently while also contributing as part of a team.\nWillingness to cross-train and support other production functions as needed.\nExcellent communication and organizational skills.\nEducation and Experience: 1+ years of experience in hydro testing, preferred\n3+ valve repair, valve assembly, industrial maintenance, manufacturing, or related mechanical work.\nExperience working with industrial valves, actuators, pumps, pressure vessels, or rotating equipment preferred.\nExperience reading engineering drawings, P&IDs, or mechanical schematics preferred.\nExperience operating forklifts and overhead cranes is a plus..\nPhysical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.\nFrequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and climb throughout the workday.\nFrequently lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds independently and up to 75 pounds with assistance.\nAbility to safely operate material handling equipment.\nAbility to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, machinery, and varying temperatures.\nAbility to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, steel-toe boots, hearing protection, gloves, and other required safety equipment.\nWork Environment This position works primarily in a warehouse and shop environment with exposure to tools, machinery, forklifts, overhead cranes, and industrial equipment.
