Maintenance TechnicianThe Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine and preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of building systems, equipment, and facilities. This role ensures a safe, functional, and well-maintained environment by addressing maintenance requests promptly and professionally.Pay: $20.00 - $26.00/hourThe pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on the applicant's experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.401(k) – You become eligible to make personal contributions beginning the first of the month following 30 days of employment. You become eligible for the ABM match beginning the first of the month following six months of employment. ABM matches your pre-tax and/or Roth contributions, dollar for dollar, for the first 3%. For information about ABM's benefits, visit ABMABM Employee Benefits | Front Line Team MembersKey ResponsibilitiesPerform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, and mechanical equipmentTroubleshoot and repair equipment malfunctions and facility issuesRespond to maintenance work orders in a timely mannerConduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs and safety concernsPerform basic carpentry, painting, drywall, flooring, and minor renovations as neededMaintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspectionsEnsure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and company policiesCoordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs when requiredMaintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe conditionQualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required 2+ years of experience in building maintenance, facilities, or a related field preferredWorking knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systemsAbility to read blueprints, manuals, and technical documentsStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and manage multiple prioritiesGood communication and interpersonal skillsPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 50 lbsAbility to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb ladders or stairs regularlyAbility to work in various environmental conditions
