The incumbent shall maintain cross reference files of all persons committed to, or processed by, the facility, as well as maintain all photographic and fingerprint equipment assigned. The ideal candidate should have the ability to pay attention to detail, and be able to enforce and maintain safety, sanitary, security, and custodial measures. We encourage all interested candidates to apply.Essential Functions Enters information into applications such as Livescan, Photo ID, and O360. Captures and compares fingerprints of individuals in custody and employees. Maintains fingerprint and photographic files for institutional use. In conjunction with Field Service Representatives, Illinois State Police, Federal Bureau of Investigation and other outside agencies, provides fingerprints, photographs and notification of an offender release. Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.Minimum Qualifications Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years of high school. This title is included as an Upward Mobility Program Credential title.Conditions of Employment Requires completion of an approved course in guard training within six (6) months of employment. Requires ability to pass the IDOC/IDJJ background check. Requires ability to pass a drug screen. The use of unauthorized drugs by an employee, regardless of position held, is prohibited. Required to utilize digital technology, tools, platforms, and processes in managing and supporting various digital enhancements for greater efficiency, productivity, and digital transformation efforts within the department.
