Product Designer

Job Summary: Our client is seeking a Product Designer to join their team! This position is locate in New York City, New York.   Duties:Contribute to the creation and maintenance of design system foundations, components, and patternsDesign scalable UI components that support multiple products and use casesBuild and manage components, variants, and documentation in FigmaApply accessibility standards (WCAG, ADA) to system componentsParticipate in system audits and continuous improvementsCollaborate with front-end engineers to ensure consistent design-to-code implementationDesign with awareness of React component structures and responsive design considerationsProvide detailed documentation and support for component handoffRefine components based on engineering and product feedbackExplore AI-assisted tools to improve efficiency, documentation, or component consistencyContribute ideas to help the design system scale and improve over timePartner with designers, product managers, and engineers across teamsCommunicate design intent, guidelines, and system usage clearlyProvide constructive feedback and guidance to teams adopting the systemHelp teams understand how and when to use system components effectivelyDesired Skills/Experience:3+ years in UI or product design1+ years working with or contributing to a design systemExperience collaborating with front-end engineering teamsExperience in enterprise, multi-product, or regulated environments is a plusStrong proficiency in Figma, especially component libraries and variantsWorking knowledge of HTML, CSS, and responsive designFamiliarity with React-based design systemsUnderstanding of accessibility requirementsExperience in Agile product environmentsComfortable working independently in a contract settingStrong communication and collaboration skillsOrganized, detail-oriented, and able to handle multiple prioritiesCurious mindset and willingness to expand technical or system-related skillsBenefits:Medical, Dental, & Vision Insurance PlansEmployee-Owned Profit Sharing (ESOP)401K offeredThe approximate pay range for this position is between $28.00 and $41.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location.
