In this hands-on role, you’ll test, troubleshoot, install, and repair aircraft electrical and avionics systems—helping ensure safe, reliable aircraft while keeping production schedules on track.\n\nWhat You’ll Do\n\nTest, troubleshoot, install, and repair aircraft avionics and electrical systems.\n\nInstall and functionally test components according to engineering specifications, drawings, and maintenance manuals.\n\nDiagnose and repair defective wiring and components using accepted techniques such as splicing, soldering, and pinning.\n\nSet up and operate test equipment and perform functional/operational testing.\n\nComplete engineering changes and aircraft modifications.\n\nProperly document completed work and prepare aircraft for inspection.\n\nMaintain test equipment and electronic systems.\n\nFollow all safety, FOD, tool control, and 5-S requirements.\n\nAdapt to changing schedules and support aircraft certification/final testing, including flight tests when required.\n\nMay provide backup support to the Senior Avionics/Electrical Technician.\n\nRequired Qualifications\n\nHigh School Diploma or GED.\n\n4 years of avionics/electrical experience OR 2 years accredited aviation electronics schooling + 2 years related experience.\n\nAbility to read and understand blueprints and schematic diagrams.\n\nMust read, write, speak, and understand English.\n\nValid driver's license required.\n\nAbility to climb stairs/ladders, work in confined spaces, and lift up to 50 lbs.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\nAerospace industry experience.\n\nFAA A&P (Airframe & Powerplant) license.\n\nFCC certification.\n\nNCATT certification.\n\nExperience with additional aircraft systems such as hydraulics, landing gear, flight controls, environmental controls, or structural systems.\n\nStrong verbal and written communication skills.\n\nWhy Join Us?\n\nAt PDS Tech Commercial, you’ll have the opportunity to work alongside talented aerospace professionals and contribute to aircraft that meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and performance.
