The position collaborates with staff and vendors on digitization projects; applies appropriate imaging practices; and operates various capture hardware and software. Responsibilities include image processing, metadata embedding, file preparation, troubleshooting, and project tracking. The position also supports team workflows, participates in professional development, and collaborates with staff across the Libraries to solve problems and improve efficiencies.\n\nThe full job description is available at https://libraries.mit.edu/about/organization/jobs/\n\nJob Requirements\n\nREQUIRED: High school diploma or equivalent; a minimum of two years of related experience in digital imaging, scanning, or cultural heritage materials; technical experience with digital imaging equipment and related software; interest in learning and using new technologies; strong attention to detail, organization, analytical, and problem-solving skills; ability to manage competing priorities and work independently; strong written and verbal communication skills; excellent interpersonal and service skills and ability to collaborate effectively; flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment; commitment to a diverse, inclusive, and respectful workplace; and ability to lift 40 lbs., push/pull loaded carts up to 150 lbs., and perform physical tasks including bending, squatting, reaching, and handling library materials.\n\nThis is a full-time (35 hrs/wk.) position.
