AutoCAD Drafter (Specialty Construction Contractor)

Summary / ObjectiveThis position's primary tasks are estimating, designing, detailing and preparing itemized material lists for each project.Duties and ResponsibilitiesEvaluate projects with sales and/or the customer to determine the best solution for the job.Prepare a detailed equipment list based on the construction layouts.Coordinate project details with all parties involved; customer, sales, shipping, vendors, etc. and respond to inquiries and requests as needed.Attend jobsite visits to review project conditions, discuss project goals and expectations with the customer as well as aid in proper material assembly.Requirements:While a four-year College degree not required, the candidate must have formal training related to AutoCAD and/or engineering design or one to three years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.General understanding of industry practice and construction knowledge preferred.Proficient in AutoCAD as well as computer knowledge including, but not limited to Teams, Excel, Word & Outlook.Strong mathematic skills are required.Must possess strong verbal and written communication skillsPossess a valid driver's license
