{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"3dc910dfe86b96c0e9ef0090","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/3dc910dfe86b96c0e9ef0090","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/3dc910dfe86b96c0e9ef0090","title":"Electrical Engineer","description":"The Electrical Engineer is responsible for delivering technically sound, cost‑effective, and compliant electrical designs while collaborating closely with cross‑functional teams to support product development, manufacturing, installation, and ongoing system performance.\nKey Responsibilities\nEngineering Design & Execution\nDesign, develop, and maintain electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, PCB designs, and control panel layouts.\nSupport electrical and control system designs for automated sorting systems.\nRedesign or replace obsolete or unmaintainable PCB and system components.\nDebug and resolve electrical, PCB, and system‑level performance issues.\nCreate and maintain assembly instructions, wiring documentation, and technical drawings.\nProject & Operational Support\nEstimate work effort and meet delivery deadlines while keeping projects on schedule and within budget.\nWork within quoted pricing proposals and cost constraints.\nIdentify and resolve performance, reliability, and operational challenges.\nManage and resolve escalated technical or operational issues.\nReport project status, risks, and progress to Engineering and Project Managers.\nQuality, Compliance & Documentation\nConduct and support quality assurance and functional testing to verify system performance.\nReview and approve engineering work products, including drawings and design packages.\nMaintain revision control and engineering data using ECN/ECO procedures.\nEnsure compliance with applicable electrical, safety, and international standards (UL, CSA, NEC, IEC, CE).\nCollaboration & Communication\nCommunicate effectively within engineering teams and across departments including Manufacturing, Quality, and Operations.\nProvide technical feedback to support system functionality and performance decisions.\nSupport field installations, commissioning, and troubleshooting as needed.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience (7+ years).\n7+ years of experience in electrical engineering or related roles.\n3+ years of hands‑on PCB design and debugging experience.\nExperience with complex electromechanical and automated systems.\nProficiency with AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical.\nProficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.\nFamiliarity with PLC‑based control systems.\nStrong troubleshooting, analytical, and system‑level design skills.\nExperience supporting production‑ready designs and manufacturing environments.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with Altium Designer for PCB development.\nFamiliarity with SYSPRO or similar ERP systems for BOM management.\nKnowledge of Allen‑Bradley, Schneider, ABB, or Siemens control products.\nUnderstanding of industrial networking protocols (Ethernet TCP/IP, EtherCAT, Modbus).\nExperience with VFDs and motor control systems.\nWorking knowledge of NEC, NFPA, UL508A, and industrial control panel standards.\nExperience with SolidWorks Electrical or DraftSight.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nPhysical Requirements\nAbility to lift up to 30 pounds from ground to chest level.\nAbility to sit, stand, walk, climb, reach, and lift intermittently throughout the workday.\nAbility to stand and walk on concrete or industrial surfaces.\nUnimpaired vision, hearing, and speech.\nTravel Requirements\nWillingness to travel up to 25% as needed to support installations or operational needs.\nDisclaimer\nThis job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed.
