This role will help define and implement our customers' data and AI strategies by contributing to architectural artifacts, data modeling, metadata management, and governance practices, ensuring alignment with Enterprise Architecture (System) and Data Management policies. This position may require occasional travel to customers in and around the Baltimore, MD and Washington, DC area.\r\nPrimary Responsibilities Assist in the documentation of data and technical related policies, standards, and procedures.\r\nDesign and maintain logical and conceptual data models in support of enterprise and project-level initiatives.\r\nWork closely with Chief Enterprise Architect on Artificial Intelligence, Enterprise and Data Architecture, and Technical Reference Architecture.\r\nDevelop data and other architecture products such as data flow diagrams, data dictionaries, and canonical data models to support modernization and interoperability.\r\nCollaborate with stakeholders, enterprise architects, and system owners to identify data requirements and align them with enterprise standards.\r\nProvide architectural guidance for data integration, data sharing, interoperability, and data quality best practices.\r\nDevelop CDMs, LDMs and translating physical schemas into LDMs in support of a Data Registry.\r\nPrepare and conduct customer presentations and briefings.\r\nSupport data integration and Artificial Intelligence (AI) / Large Language Model (LLM) evolution within organization's Enterprise Architecture.\r\nSupport metadata and master data management initiatives.\r\nProvide technical advice on Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, High Performance Computing, containerization, dynamic scaling, blockchain and other advanced technology development.\r\nRequirements Education, Certifications, Clearance and Years of Experience Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Engineering/Science, Data Science, or a related field. Equivalent work experience will be considered.\r\nMust have US citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD clearance if necessary.\r\nKnowledge Skills and Abilities 5+ years of experience in data architecture, data modeling, or enterprise data design.\r\n5+ years of experience working with AWS and MS Azure enterprise data and AI/ML solutions.\r\n2+ years of experience in the use of AI/ML models and LLMs. Exposure to model training.\r\nHands-on experience designing and maintaining logical and conceptual data models, including the creation of data flow diagrams, data dictionaries, and data models.\r\nExperience working with relational and non-relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).\r\nPractical experience in integrating disparate data sources and supporting data modernization and interoperability initiatives.\r\nExperience in the development and documentation of data-related policies, standards, and procedures, ensuring alignment with enterprise and federal requirements.\r\nHands-on experience in prompt development and agent creation.\r\nPreferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Familiarity in data modeling tools.\r\nFamiliarity with enterprise system architecture frameworks such as FEAF, ArchiMate, or DODAF.\r\nUnderstanding of enterprise data domains, healthcare data standards, or government data governance practices (preferred).\r\nKnowledge of federal data strategy and compliance requirements (e.g., HIPAA, FISMA).\r\nFamiliarity with ETL tools and data integration platforms.\r\nUnderstanding of data analytics, and reporting tools such as Tableau or Power BI.\r\nPrefer experience supporting the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Large Language Models (LLMs) into enterprise data architectures.
