Solutions Engineer

We are only accepting applications for this role from individuals who have completed their degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.Voltaic Systems powers millions of devices around the world that collect and send critical data on agriculture, air quality, the oceans and transportation assets. We design and manufacture the solar power systems that are an integral part of these Internet of Things (IoT) devices. Solar-powered IoT devices can have a profound impact on resource use and environmental health. The data collected by these devices can help reduce water consumption, improve crop yields, route vehicles more efficiently, and detect dangerous pollution. Solar can also extend the lives of devices, reducing environmental waste. Role is in person at the New Lab in the Brooklyn Navy Yard.Job DescriptionWork directly with a range of industrial and corporate customers to understand their power requirementsCoordinate with engineering and production teams to deliver high quality solar solutions to address those power requirementsSynthesize customer feedback to drive improvements in existing products and identify areas for new productsSupport existing customers with detailed technical supportTravel to select trade shows to meet new and existing customersRequirementsUndergraduate engineering degree in mechanical or electrical engineeringAbility to project manage - Must be organized, intellectually curious and consistently take a project through to conclusion (including documentation).Must be able to communicate via email and phone in a clear and direct mannerVoltaic is a collaborative company.
