This individual will serve a key function in providing assistance with environmental-related technical aspects of diverse land development projects, both small and large scale. In this role, you will have the opportunity to partner directly with environmental leadership and gain exposure to site feasibility studies which may involve field work, technical report preparation and calculations, pre-construction conditions documentation, design plans and specifications.\n\nJob Responsibilities\nAssist with the planning and execution of field investigations by logging borings, collecting samples, performing field tests and collecting and recording data;\nMonitor construction projects by taking various tests to evaluate whether the contractor or subcontractor has complied with job specifications;\nIdentify solutions to field and/or laboratory problems and accurately document results;\nPrepare reports documenting field investigations and analytical results;\nPrepare a variety of standard logs and field forms (such as drilling logs, field investigation dailies, and chain of custody logs).\nLearn data management and modeling tools for environmental media, how to perform engineering analyses, and how to properly use field equipment;\nConduct; file reviews, site reconnaissance, and prepares reports;\nPrepare laboratory data summary tables and figures;\nEffectively use reports, maps, drawings, engineering plans, tests, and aerial photographs to assess soil composition, terrain, hydrological characteristics, and topographical and geologic data and their impact on the planning and design of projects;\nPerforms other duties as requested.\nQualifications\nPreference will be given to those candidates residing in the following zip codes, as per public client contractual terms: 94124, 94103, 94107, 94105, and 94134;\nStudent actively pursuing a four year or advanced degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or Geology;\nCumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater;\nStrong attention to detail with excellent analytical and judgment capabilities;\nAbility to effectively work independently and in a team environment;\nWorking knowledge of GIS or environmentally related software, and Microsoft Office Suite applications;\nTravel may be required based on business needs and project assignments. Travel requirements may vary by position and may change based on business needs;\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills;\nStrong attention to detail with excellent analytical, multitasking, and judgment capabilities; and\nAbility to effectively work independently and in a team environment.\n\nPlease submit your resume.
