Job Summary:The Registered Nurse – Cardiac OR is responsible for providing specialized nursing care in the Adult Cardiac Operating Room. The role involves managing complex cardiac surgical cases using a multidisciplinary approach to ensure optimal patient outcomes.Key Responsibilities:Scrub and circulate independently for complex adult cardiac proceduresAssist in surgeries including CABG, structural heart cases (e.g., Bentall), minimally invasive valve procedures, and heart failure cases (VADs, ECMO, artificial heart, transplants)Monitor and manage patient care throughout the perioperative processCollaborate with surgical and multidisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and care qualityMaintain accurate documentation and adhere to hospital protocolsRequirements:Active New York RN License (required)Minimum 2 years of Operating Room experienceAbility to scrub and circulate requiredTelemetry experience requiredBLS Certification (AHA required)ACLS Certification (AHA required)Preferred Qualifications:Experience in Level 1 Trauma Operating RoomExperience with TAVI/TAVR and cardiac transplant procedures preferredStrong clinical judgment and ability to work in high-acuity environmentsAdditional Information:Experience with advanced cardiac procedures such as CABG, ECMO, VADs, and minimally invasive cardiac surgeries highly valuedAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented surgical environmentAbout Pride Health- Pride Health offers eligible employee’s comprehensive healthcare coverage (medical, dental, and vision plans), supplemental coverage (accident insurance, critical illness insurance and hospital indemnity), 401(k)-retirement savings, life & disability insurance, an employee assistance program, legal support, auto, home insurance, pet insurance, and employee discounts with preferred vendorsEqual Employment OpportunityPride Health is an equal opportunity employer.
