Prep Cook

We are looking for a Prep Cook to join our BOH Team in Wilson County Barbecue in Portland, Maine! What You Will Get - A competitive hourly base package of $12.50 per hour + Tips (Average of $25-$35 per hour inc. tips) - Paid Time Off Who You Are - You have a passion for, and strong knowledge of food and culinary techniques - You take pride in your position and in the presentation and quality of the food that you are prepping for service - You take pride in the cleanliness and sanitation of the station in which you are working, and the kitchen as a whole - You are a “Team Player”, considerate to the experience of all guests, as well as the experience of your fellow employees - You are organized and have strong communication skills, as well as the ability to multi-task - You have experience in a high-volume, full-service scratch kitchen - You ideally have any State or County required license requirements for the service of food What You Will be Doing - Preparing and portioning high quality food for use on the Line during general service and special / private events to the exact spec provided - Completing items assigned on prep and portioning lists as outlined by the Kitchen Manager / Sous Chef / BOH Supervisor in preparation for service needs - Keeping work station clean, organized and inspection ready at all times - Adhering to all Company SOP’s with regards to health & sanitation - Ensuring that set-up and break-down tasks are completed to standard - Ensuring that all local and state laws are followed as related to the service of food and the BOH facility in general Buzz Hospitality Inc. provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all team members and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability or genetics.
