As Risk Operations Analyst II, Payments & Fraud, you will be key to helping us build a world-class, cross-functional payments team. You’ll go beyond reactive risk mitigation - to proactive risk management that also improves business outcomes. This role will support the Risk Ops Team in creating clarity, working cross-functionally with other teams, and embed risk thinking into how Scribd builds and scales.What You’ll DoYou will partner with the Risk Ops Manager on process and strategy. This team owns payments risk and fraud operations across the following key areas, while partnering closely with Payments, Product, Analytics, and Finance teams:Chargeback Strategy & PreventionMonitor and reduce chargeback rates across processorsMonitor dispute representment and metrics like win rateFraud Detection & Rule OptimizationMonitor the performance of our fraud blocking tools (3rd party and in-house)Support fraud related investigations (including card testing attacks and content fraud)Analyze new fraud trends and key risk metricsCollaborate with team and vendors to manage and develop new fraud rulesPayments Optimization SupportPartner with Payments, Analytics, and Finance to monitor and improve payment processor performanceSupport onboarding and optimization of new payment tools and vendorsHelp future-proof the payments platform against fraud, risk, and cost inefficienciesWhat You’ll Bring3 or more years experience in Fraud Prevention, Merchant Risk or related fieldsCore data processing skills, able to work with large data sets to generate accurate reporting and analysis, including validating and testingKnowledge of global payments ecosystems, with experience navigating fraud or chargebacksInterest in developing skills in fraud analysis, SQL, Python, Machine Learning, payment optimization and managing merchant accounts in payment platformsStrong analytical skills, with ability to define key metrics, track trends, and drive data-backed decisionsSkilled cross-functional operator who can partner with and connect dots across Product, Analytics, Finance, Engineering, Legal, and OperationsIdeally, You HaveIntermediate to advanced Excel / Google Sheets skills1-2 Years Experience with SQL or PythonAI prompt design skillsAt Scribd, Inc., your base pay is one part of your total compensation package and is determined within a range. Our pay ranges are based on the local cost of labor benchmarks for each specific role, level, and geographic location. San Francisco is our highest geographic market in the United States.In the state of California, the reasonably expected salary range is between $76,500 [minimum salary in our lowest geographic market within California] to $118,000 [maximum salary in our highest geographic market within California].In the United States, outside of California, the reasonably expected salary range is between $63,000 [minimum salary in our lowest US geographic market outside of California] to $114,000 [maximum salary in our highest US geographic market outside of California].In Canada, the reasonably expected salary range is between $80,000 CAD[minimum salary in our lowest geographic market] to $106,000 CAD[maximum salary in our highest geographic market].We carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including but not limited to experience; job-related skill sets; relevant education or training; and other business and organizational needs. The salary range listed is for the level at which this job has been scoped. In the event that you are considered for a different level, a higher or lower pay range would apply.
