This position is responsible for the safe movement, staging, and handling of large electrical equipment and materials throughout the production facility. The ideal candidate will have experience operating forklifts, overhead cranes, and rigging heavy loads in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.\n\nWhile Technibus is willing to train the right candidate, applicants with prior material handling, rigging, and heavy equipment experience will be able to contribute more quickly and help support production efficiency and workplace safety.\n\nEssential Responsibilities\n\nSafely move, transport, and stage materials, components, and finished products throughout the facility.\nOperate forklifts and overhead cranes to move equipment weighing up to 60,000 pounds.\nPerform proper rigging techniques to safely lift and transport heavy loads.\nExecute tandem movements using both forklifts and overhead cranes when required.\nLoad and unload incoming and outgoing materials while ensuring proper handling procedures are followed.\nVerify materials against work orders and production schedules.\nMaintain accurate inventory movement and material locations.\nInspect forklifts, cranes, lifting devices, and rigging equipment before use and report any defects.\nFollow all OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and standard operating procedures.\nMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.\nWork closely with production, shipping, and receiving teams to support manufacturing operations.\nSpecific Qualifications:\n\nRequired\n\nPrevious experience operating forklifts in a manufacturing or industrial environment.\nBasic knowledge of rigging practices and safe material handling procedures.\nExperience moving oversized or heavy materials.\nAbility to read and follow work instructions and safety procedures.\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.\nReliable attendance and strong work ethic.\n\nPreferred\n\nExperience operating overhead cranes.\nExperience performing tandem lifts using forklifts and cranes.\nExperience handling loads up to 60,000 pounds.\nCombilift (Combi Lift) experience is highly preferred.\nPrevious manufacturing or heavy industrial experience.\nForklift and/or crane certifications (or ability to obtain certification).\n\nPhysical Requirements\n\nAbility to frequently stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach throughout the shift.\nAbility to lift up to 50 pounds independently.\nAbility to safely work around large industrial equipment and heavy materials.\nComfortable working in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures.\nAbility to wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE).\nCompany Overview:\n\nIES is a national provider of industrial products and infrastructure services to a variety of end markets, including electrical, mechanical and communications contracting solutions for the commercial, industrial, residential and renewable energy markets.
