About the Opportunity:The Manager, Cloud Engineering leads a foundational engineering team focused on system and service reliability, scalability, and enhancing developer productivity. This role ensures high resilience in the production environment and delivers efficient, streamlined tools and pipelines to support internal software developers, impacting overall operational excellence.3. Responsibilities:• Manage, lead, hire, develop, and mentor a team of Platform Engineers• Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture• Develop professional learning paths for team members• Design and execute technical approaches for emerging systems and architecture• Maintain high standards for production reliability and developer experience• Serve as primary liaison between the engineering team and other stakeholders• Lead adoption and maturation of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices• Define SLO/SLI frameworks and guide prioritization between reliability and features• Drive strategy for internal developer platform capabilities• Plan team capacity and staffing allocation• Organize and support on-call rotation• Manage incident response and continuous improvement processes4. Requirements:• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field• 1-3 years of leadership experience managing cloud/platform engineering teams• 6+ years of hands-on experience in SRE, DevOps, Infrastructure, and Platform Engineering• Experience building and operating internal developer platforms• Expertise in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure), Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code, and CI/CD tools• Proven system design skills for distributed systems with high availability• Experience with observability frameworks (monitoring, logging, tracing, alerting)• Ability to gather developer feedback and translate it into platform improvements• Proficiency in multiple programming languages• Knowledge of secure SDLC practices• Strong communication and collaboration skills• Relevant cloud certifications are a plus5.
