We work in a dynamic agile environment.\nThe Team\nThe team builds and supports highly critical applications used by Fidelity’s front-line sales associates. The team is responsible for aggregating large volume of data from various sources, processing through sophisticated business rules and accurately computing the key metrics needed for variable compensation calculation.\nThe team is comprised of engineering teams primarily based in North Carolina & New England. Our platform consists of multiple back-end internal capabilities integrated with SAP Commissions for compensation & reporting. We are on a multi-year program to modernize our e2e platform, moving from an on-prem/batch monolith to a cloud/event-driven implementation. This is a phenomenal time to join us on this journey!\nThe Value You Deliver\nExperience with designing and developing RESTful APIs using Java.\nExperience in Microservices and Event driven Architecture.\nExperience developing software utilizing relational databases (Oracle, Postgres)\nExperience with Test automation for unit, functional and non-functional testing\nAbility to develop technical artifacts based on analysis of business and systems requirements\nAbility to discover/document implementations from legacy systems, Oracle, Java. as part of re- platform.\nKnowledge of current technologies and evolving trends.\nAbility to quickly learn new concepts and technologies\nDetail oriented coupled with strong analytical and problem-solving skills\nStrong organizational skills coupled with effective written and verbal communication skills\nMust be an organized self-starter with a team-based work style, and the ability to multi-task.\nStrong team player and collaborator\nThe Expertise and Skills You Bring\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or a related technology discipline\n5+ years of software development experience on business critical, enterprise-wide applications.\nExtensive experience with Service Oriented Architecture REST APIs using Spring Boot / Drop wizard / Micronaut.\nProven track record working with event-driven microservice architecture.\nAWS Cloud certifications and hands-on experience with services such as Amazon S3, Lambda, SNS, SQS, Event Bridge, Glue, and CloudFormation (CFN) are preferred.\nKnowledge of end-to-end DevSecOps automation with CI/CD pipelines including Unit, Component and Functional test automation.\nProven experience working with relational databases such as Oracle and Postgres.\nExperience with re-platforming large applications.\nExpertise in designing, developing and maintaining high-volume transactional systems.\nAbility to debug through legacy systems and capture current state to aid with modernization.\nActively participates in and assists towards formal reviews of architecture, design and code\nExperience with supporting Monolith legacy applications\nPublishes clear, concise and thorough design documentation\nProvides support for software releases into production environments\nCultivates partnership and collaboration across multi-region development teams, business and systems partners.\nExperience with Co-Pilot/Dev Assistant tools desirable.\nExperience with Agile and Scrum Methodologies is preferred.\nPlease be advised that Fidelity’s business is governed by the provisions of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, the Investment Advisers Act of 1940, the Investment Company Act of 1940, ERISA, numerous state laws governing securities, investment and retirement-related financial activities and the rules and regulations of numerous self-regulatory organizations, including FINRA, among others.
