In this role, you will lead employees performing engineering and technical activities in the areas of Cabin Systems, specifically in support of the development, installation and certification of Cabin Systems software features for the 787 and 777 airplane families. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in software development, particularly in DO-178 certification, along with exceptional leadership capabilities. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.\r\nPosition Responsibilities Manages employees performing software engineering and technical activities related to supporting program lifecycle software design, development, integration, maintenance, and delivery.\r\nDevelops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.\r\nAcquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.\r\nDevelops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.\r\nProvides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.\r\nManages, develops and motivates employees.\r\nManages budget and resources.\r\nBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience) Bachelor Degree.\r\n5+ years of experience in full software development life-cycle.\r\n5+ years of experience with systems or software engineering on space-based systems.\r\nMust meet U.S. export control compliance requirements.\r\nAt least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross-functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) or completion of Boeing internal course \"Exploring Leadership.\"\r\nPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience) Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.\r\n3+ years of experience with DO-178C and supplements (DO-331, DO-332) and DO-330.\r\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and executives.\r\n3+ years of experience in cross-functional leadership, collaborative problem solving, building lasting relationships & proficiency in written and verbal communication.\r\nExperience with Gitlab, CI/CD pipeline.\r\nExperience in software development using Java, JavaScript, and Node.JS.\r\nExperience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.\r\nTravel 15% of domestic and international travel.\r\nDrug Free Workplace Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post-offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria are met as outlined in our policies.\r\nPay & Benefits At Boeing, we strive to deliver a Total Rewards package that will attract, engage and retain top talent.
