Your responsibilities will include the management and coordination of the design, procurement, implementation, and commissioning phases of projects, including the commercial, financial, and technical success of projects ranging from $50K to $3.0M+.\nYou will take a leadership role in developing project proposals and vetting project cost estimates. You will develop and communicate a clear understanding of the client's project goals and maintain the company's alignment to these goals, enabling your team to exceed client expectations and budgeted profitability.\nWe will consider candidates located within 1 hour of:\nMetro DC area\nMetro Atlanta, GA area\nColumbus, OH\n\nYou Will:\nLead Proposal Development – Participate in proposal scope, schedule, and cost estimates, as well as Project Management methodology and project pricing and structure. Prepare for a successful handoff from Business Development.\nManage Client Communication – Ensure effective communication between the client, the project team, Business Development, and the management team at all phases of the project. Be effective at resolving scope, schedule and cost issues as they arise.\nProject Schedule and Plan – Develop the project labor resource plan and procurement plan to meet the client's schedule objective and project cash flow requirements.\nDrive Scope – Maintain firm control of scope and compliance with specifications and contract requirements. Ensure that scope is well defined and communicated, and proactively obtain any required Change Orders, develop additional scope opportunities which may serve the client's objective.\nMaintain Cost – Develop and maintain project cost budgets and reports; manage estimated cost at completion, earned value, and contingency. Forecast monthly project costs avoiding cost overruns.\nLead the Project Team – Lead the project team in achieving the project tasks and milestones on schedule and under budget. Work closely with the Operations group to ensure that the right resources are assigned to the project at the optimal time. Communicate project progress to the team and to the client and be an effective advocate for the project team. Identify project risks in advance and mobilize the necessary resources to mitigate risks.\nPresent regular project activity and financial updates on projects to large audiences of customers and/or internal associates/management/Executives\nBecome proficient in the extensive use of the E TECH GROUP PMO Methods, Tools and Process specific to project management standards\nParticipate in the implementation of new project management tools that will be utilized across the enterprise\nDevelop a strong level of understanding of E TECH GROUP's Project Management Life (PMLC) Cycle Stages.\n\nYou Have:\nBS Engineering degree or equivalent education/experience background\nAt least 3 years of dedicated project management experience or 5+ years in a project engineering environment\nProficiency in the utilization of project management principles, methods, and tools\nAbility to implement Project Management Institute (PMI) based standards into the E TECH GROUP methodology and culture, and serve as a mentor to other associates\nProven project leadership on difficult projects, applications, solutions, and situations\nProven performance in a stressful environment\nExcellent oral and written communication and presentation skills\nThe ability to utilize technology to lead geographically dispersed project teams\nExperience managing contracts and/or subcontractors\nExperience in the use of project management software such as MS Project\nFamiliarity with industrial controls projects\nExperience with project budget / fiscal accountability\nA DNA comprised of collaboration and teamwork\nWilling to accommodate 25-30% travel to support on-site project activities\n\nYou May Have:\nControls Engineering background\nExperience with true design projects (EOR)\nPMP Certification (preferred)\n\nBenefits & Perks:\n401k + match + prompt enrollment.
