Your strong software engineering skills will support mission critical decision analytics for renewable and battery storage power providers around the globe.\nJob Responsibilities\nDesign and write clean, scalable, production code (our backend team primarily works in Python, SQL, Sas, and C#; our frontend team works in React)\nRefactor code for improved performance, stability, and scalability\nDevelop automatic tests (such as unit and integration tests) and deployment scripts\nComfortable working with data at scale\nWork with our team of analysts and data scientists to integrate and generalize prototype mathematical and data science models within production software\nCommunicate clearly and effectively (orally and in writing) with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders\nMentor and guide junior engineers\nContribute to scoping and design discussions\nThis position involves working collaboratively both within your software team and outside with the front-end software engineers, data scientists, and technical sales team. The software development team follows an agile scrum process, and all team members are expected to contribute to technical design reviews, implementation strategies, operational system support, and sprint planning.\nRequired Qualifications\nBS in Engineering, Computer Science, Data/Information Science, Mathematics, or a related field\n8+ years of hands-on experience in a similar position\nDemonstrated academic or professional software coding experience in one or more of the following languages: Python, Ruby, .NET, Java, C++, C#, Kotlin, Rust, or Javascript, including object-oriented design\nStrong background in programming related to applied mathematical, engineering, and physical sciences\nStrong interpersonal skills, teamwork skills, and work ethic\nPreferred Qualifications\nMasters degree in a technical field\nFamiliarity with data processing in Python (including Pandas, Numpy, Sympy, Scikit-Learn) is strongly preferred\nData Science, including statistics, optimization, machine learning, and data visualization\nPerformance computing, including distributed and parallel computing technologies\nReferential databases, such as SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL\nAbility to communicate with impact and confidence, both orally and in writing\nKnowledge of wholesale electricity markets; passion for renewables and storage\nCompensation: $120,000 - $140,000\nNegotiable based on qualifications and experience.
