Job Title: Senior AccountantLocation: Huntington Park, CADepartment: Finance & AccountingReports To: VP of Finance ControllerPosition OverviewThe Senior Accountant will play a key role in supporting financial planning, reporting, and operational analysis. This position partners closely with cross-functional teams including distribution, production, manufacturing, and sales to provide insights that drive performance and profitability.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with month-end close processes, including journal entries, inventory valuation, accruals, variance analysis, and reconciliation supportPrepare and analyze monthly financial reports, highlighting key trends, profitability, and performance driversConduct operational and business analysis to support shipping operations and improve visibilityAnalyze gross margin, pricing, and product profitability across categories and channelsSupport inventory analysis, including turnover, aging, and reserve recommendationsIdentify opportunities for cost savings and process improvementsEnsure data accuracy and maintain financial reporting tools and systemsQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related fieldActive CPA certification or CPA candidate3–5 years of experience in Accounting and a role involving financial analysis, preferably in apparel, retail, or consumer goodsStrong understanding of financial statements and accounting principlesExperience supporting month-end close and working with large datasetsAdvanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, financial modeling)Experience with SQL and/or BI tools is a plusStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
