This is an exciting position that plays a key role in ensuring production parts meet customer requirements using CMM equipment and software. This person will assist in performing visual and dimension inspections to ensure that all product meets customer specifications and requirements.\r\nResponsibilities\r\nMeasure key part characteristics with CMM equipment\r\nPerform CMM programming, setup, and analysis of both in process and finished products\r\nWork with engineering and programming teams to troubleshoot parts\r\nPerform first piece production inspection and provide feedback\r\nDocument findings and develop planning for jobs\r\nTrain others on CMM operation and appropriate methods\r\nCheck and verify machined component dimensions using measuring devices to blueprints\r\nCommunicate effectively with machinist, operators, and management to maintain acceptable quality standards\r\nMaintain and generate all required quality documentation including inspection and discrepancy reports\r\nPerform other miscellaneous duties as assigned or requested\r\nITAR Requirements\r\nThis position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person citizenship status.\r\nSkill Requirements\r\nComputer skills\r\nInnovative thinker and a self-starter\r\nSolid problem-solver strong sense of urgency\r\nGood organization and attention to detail\r\nQualifications\r\n2 year technical degree and/or 2 years shop floor machining\r\n2 years shop Floor machining and/or 6 months Quality Inspection in machine shop environment\r\nAble to operate a CMM, including choosing appropriate tools and inspecting parts with minimal supervision\r\nPreferred experience with PC DMIS CMM software\r\nKnowledge of GD&T and general blueprint interpretation\r\nWork Environment\r\nThe performance of this position will require exposure to the manufacturing areas where all areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, hearing protection, steel toe shoes, and other mandatory safety equipment.\r\nFor the most part, ambient temperatures with typical plant lighting and manufacturing equipment are present throughout the facility.\r\nPhysical Demands\r\nSit or stand as needed.\r\nWalking primarily on a level surface for periodic periods throughout the day.\r\nReaching above shoulder height, below the waist, or lifting as required to reach documents or store materials throughout the workday.\r\nProper lifting techniques required.\r\nAbility and comfortability to work in small confine spaces while following proper safety protocol.\r\nAbility to accomplish the physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.\r\nSafety and Policy Practices\r\nEach employee must be knowledgeable of standard safety policies and procedures and adhere to the same while supporting the goals and objectives of the organization and recognizing the Company's need to achieve its business objectives.
