Join us in shaping a new era in space and find a career that's built for you.\n\nResponsibilities\n\nWork under the direction of other engineers to research, design, analyze, and develop innovative components, assemblies, and/or systems of varying complexity while assuring sound technical rigor and timely delivery.\n\nDevelop, review, and maintain engineering documents, specifications, and technical analyses, including 3D solid models and 2D drawings.\n\nBe a member of integrated product teams, reciprocally interacting with other engineers, adjacent functions, suppliers, and stakeholders, to support products through the entire engineering lifecycle.\n\nCollaborate with procurement, manufacturing, and test personnel to support the build and validation of hardware in a production environment.\n\nOccasional travel.\n\nBasic Qualifications\n\nBachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education with commensurate years of professional experience.\n\nExperience with solid model and drawing creation using 3D computer-aided design software, specification development, vendor interface, parts selection, and/or configuration control.\n\nUnderstanding and ability to apply basic Mechanical Engineering principles, theories, and concepts.\n\nAbility to work in a collaborative and team-based environment using good verbal and written communication skills.\n\nAbility to obtain a security clearance; US citizenship is required.\n\nDesired Skills\n\nKnowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing in accordance with ASME Y14.5.\n\nFundamental understanding of structures, mechanisms, and materials.\n\nPrior experience with the design and/or test of mechanical systems.\n\nActive security clearance.\n\nSecurity Clearance\nThis position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
