Additional rewards may include discretionary bonuses and equity awards.\r\nComponent Engineer – Job Summary\r\nWe are seeking an experienced Component Engineer with 3+ years in mechanical component design and development within regulated manufacturing environments. Proficiency in CAD, FEA, and cross-functional collaboration is required. The role is based in our Hudson, WI office and operates on a hybrid schedule.\r\nRoles and Responsibilities\r\nDevelop and maintain mechanical documentation for standard components within designated databases.\r\nProvide technical guidance for new component development in collaboration with Product Managers and the Center of Competence.\r\nIdentify and evaluate cost-saving opportunities related to components and manufacturing processes.\r\nGuide technical designs to ensure compliance with GEA standards, customer specifications, and applicable regulations, including USDA and 3-A.\r\nCoordinate project activities with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, including third-party suppliers and procurement.\r\nResolve engineering design and testing challenges.\r\nReview product designs for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, and manufacturability.\r\nParticipate in design review meetings for key project components.\r\nCollaborate with fabrication shops to optimize manufacturability and reduce overall costs.\r\nDevelop component technical specifications and actively participate in design reviews.\r\nEvaluate and approve design changes, specifications, and drawing releases.\r\nCreate and maintain technical operating manuals detailing equipment operating characteristics.\r\nSpecify purchased components and support procurement during price negotiations.\r\nCoordinate project-specific structural engineering requirements.\r\nCreate and maintain item requirements within the ERP system.\r\nDevelop spare parts lists for assigned components.\r\nParticipate in USDA and 3-A workgroups as required.\r\nProvide technical mentoring, leadership, and training to project teams.\r\nPerform additional duties assigned by the line manager.\r\nQualifications\r\nBachelor's degree or higher in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Food Science, or a related field).\r\nMinimum of 3 years of experience in dairy component technology or a related industry.\r\nProficiency in CAD (AutoCAD and/or Inventor) and FEA.\r\nKnowledge of 3-A and USDA regulations.\r\nFamiliarity with structural engineering is preferred.\r\nWillingness to travel approximately 25% of the time.\r\nStrong interpersonal and team collaboration skills.\r\nExcellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.\r\nProficient with Microsoft Office applications.\r\nHighly detail-oriented, organized, and methodical.\r\nSelf-motivated and capable of working independently.\r\nLaboratory-Eligibility and Sponsorship\r\nThis position is based in the United States and does not offer visa or work sponsorship.
