Made Possible.\r\nMISSION / SUMMARY:\r\nThe primary responsibility of the Storeroom Clerk is to monitor inventory levels and maintain accurate records in the storeroom in accordance with Company policies and guidelines. Employees in this classification are required to receive, weigh, measure or tally all machine parts, oils, greases, color, twine, new equipment, etc., except paper stock, ordered and delivered to Gresham facility. To store all supplies carried on storeroom inventory records. Employee must function at high levels of quality and efficiency while maintaining the highest standard of safety.\r\nJOB FUNCTIONS: Job functions include, but are not limited to the following.\r\n\r\nCheck and examine all shipments delivered by carriers, and sign carrier delivery papers.\r\nReceive and maintain storeroom and MRO inventories. Open all boxes, crates, containers, etc., containing materials, except standard packages, such as toilet paper, towels, some electrical wire, soap powder, twine, etc. Check, tally, weigh or measure contents of all items received. Make out identification tags and attach tags to items and place material in proper storage bin or location.\r\nOperate computer equipment; i.e., data terminals and keyboard in performance of the job.\r\nTransportation of materials to proper storage areas.\r\nOrganize and deliver incoming packages.\r\nPack for shipment and make out shipping papers on items being returned to suppliers and/or material shipped out for repairs.\r\nAssist production and maintenance with locating parts and materials within the storeroom.\r\nDistribute supplies requisitioned at storeroom and ensure proper filling out of material requisition form to maintain integrity of spare parts inventory.\r\nComplete reservations for storeroom items.\r\nMaintain MRP ordering\r\nWork with suppliers to control (VMI) vendor managed inventory.\r\nTake inventories of storeroom items as required including Cycle Counting FGI, WIP, RAW, Storeroom - 2 times a year. This includes root cause analysis for errors and adjustments.\r\nInvestigate inventory discrepancies in SAP system and adjust outside of normal cycle count process and notify Accounting.\r\nAssist Maintenance Planner and Maintenance Manager in processing requisition forms\r\nTrend analysis to implement long-term solutions to issues.\r\nManage material masters and set standards in SAP for reordering\r\nWork with Maintenance & Fastenal with regards to cost savings initiatives.\r\nDiligently practices good safety and housekeeping techniques in accordance with shop rules.\r\nOther duties as assigned.\r\n\r\nSafe Quality Food Responsibilities for all employees\r\n\r\nFollow all Plant rules, Processes, Hygiene, and Allergens procedures, related to production of Safe Quality Foods.\r\nReport to person of authority to record any potentially unsafe conditions which may result in unsafe foods or noncompliance to SQF related procedures.\r\nParticipate in SQF Root Cause and Corrective Actions (from customer complaints, SQF audits, validation, and verification activities) as required.\r\nFollow all procedures related to producing Safe Quality Foods (SQF).\r\nReport any potentially unsafe SQF conditions or customer complaints to a person of authority to record and/or correct the situation.\r\n\r\nBACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE:\r\n\r\nManufacturing, Inventory Control or Maintenance/Storeroom experience preferred.\r\n\r\nEDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE:\r\n\r\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent\r\n\r\nSPECIFIC SKILLS\r\n\r\nMust be able to read and interpret information sheets.\r\nMust have an understanding of spare parts identification and maintain well organized inventories and inventory control.\r\nMust have basic knowledge of and ability to use a computer.\r\n\r\nSCHEDULE DEMANDS\r\n\r\nFollows mode schedule for plant, 6:00 am to 2:00 pm. Work schedule is subject to change based on storeroom needs.\r\nWhen a critical machine is down, employee may be requested to remain on the job until released by the Maintenance or Operations Manager.\r\nExpected to cover vacancy for absent peers at the Vancouver facility and work overtime.\r\n\r\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS\r\n\r\nRequired to do various types of physical work (more than 50% of the time).\r\nAbility to lift up to 50 lbs at a time on occasion.\r\nLifting and reaching overhead occasionally.
