Exceptionally qualified individuals will have the opportunity to be a part of a company willing to invest in the right, motivated person with nearly unlimited growth potential. This is a newly created position focused on design with an opportunity for the individual to grow into other areas of the business.\n\n*Essential Job Functions*\n\n* Design photovoltaic solar systems and their interconnection to facilities.\n* Develop and review construction drawings and specifications.\n* Work with and manage engineering consultants for disciplines and areas where SunPeak is not licensed or competent.\n* Support Business Development department with engineering related requests, such as preliminary designs, feasibility studies, cost estimating, and technical support items.\n* Research emerging technologies and keep on top of current industry trends.\n* Establish design standards solar PV systems\n* Participate in corporate initiatives and improvements.\n* Collaborate with other corporate disciplines, such as Business Development, Construction, Project Management, Marketing, Safety.\n* Technical writing, including standard operating procedures.\n\n*Required Skills, Abilities, and Attributes*\n\n* Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering\n* 0-3 years of design/consulting experience preferred\n* Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NFPA 70)\n* Knowledge of construction drawing standards\n* Knowledge of office procedures and Microsoft tools\n* Knowledge of AutoCAD\n* Excellent verbal communication and writing skills\n* Professional composure in all company contact\n* Self-directed organizational skills\n* Must be able to adapt and adjust quickly to changes\n* In-office role in Madison, WI with hybrid options after 90 days\n* Interested in pursuing EIT/PE licensure\n\n*Compensation and Benefits*\n\nThis is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits including health insurance, 401k eligibility, paid time off, and annual team bonus.
