This position ensures production lines remain supplied with empty returnables, resin, and required assembly components to prevent interruptions and maintain steady production flow. The Hilo Driver maintains clear and organized work areas, follows all safety and quality requirements, and provides additional support to production and technical teams as needed.\n\nJob Responsibilities\n\nRemove finished products (totes, bins, pallets, gaylords, racks, etc.) from injection molding presses and staging areas in a safe and timely manner.\nDeliver empty returnable containers to assigned production lines based on schedule and demand to support uninterrupted production flow.\nTransport finished goods to designated locations (WIP, warehouse, shipping, inspection, etc.) as required.\nVerify labels, part numbers, quantities, lot information, and container condition/status prior to moving product.\nSupport line changeovers by clearing previous product/returnables and staging correct containers, packaging, and materials for the next run.\nReview the production schedule and check molding machines to confirm sufficient material is available and identify the correct resin for upcoming orders.\nPrepare, stage, and supply resin to molding machines; replenish resin and required assembly components at the lines as needed.\nEnsure all materials and equipment (containers, hoppers, dryers, material carts, etc.) are properly identified/labeled and traceable.\nMaintain clear, safe travel routes and keep aisles, exits, and emergency access points unobstructed at all times.\nConduct daily forklift/Hilo inspections and report defects or concerns immediately; remove unsafe equipment from service when required.\nNotify the Lead Hand or Supervisor of equipment or material-related issues; initiate a work order when necessary.\nComplete required documentation accurately, including material usage and lot number traceability.\nMaintain a high standard of housekeeping and cleanliness in all areas (including preventing resin spills and promptly cleaning resin from presses and floors).\nCommunicate effectively with Production, Quality, and Shipping/Receiving to align on priorities and ensure timely material/product movement.\nPerform all job duties in a safe and healthful manner, complying with all plant safety rules, traffic policies, and Axiom Plastics standards.\nEnsure compliance with applicable quality systems and procedures (including TS/IATF requirements, as applicable to the role).\nPerform additional tasks as assigned to support plant operations.\n\nQualifications\n\nValid forklift (Hilo) license/certification, or ability to obtain certification.\nMinimum 1 year of forklift experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.\nComfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume production setting.\nAbility to read and interpret labels, work orders, process sheets, and basic production documentation (including ODS).\nStrong understanding of safety requirements and warehouse/plant traffic flow.\nStrong attention to detail with pride in quality of work; good visual inspection skills for identifying product concerns.\nGood interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.\nReliable attendance and punctuality.\nAbility to lift up to 40 lbs. occasionally, as required.\n\nReporting Hierarchy\n\nReports to:\nLogistics Coordinator & Shift Leadhand","company":"Axiom Engineered Systems","rawCompany":"axiom engineered systems","city":"Capac","state":"MI","isRemote":false,"isActive":false,"createdAt":"2026-04-14T10:49:03.348Z","occupations":[{"code":"53-7062.00","title":"Laborers and Freight, Stock, and Material Movers, Hand","slug":"laborers-and-freight-stock-and-material-movers-hand"},{"code":"53-7199.00","title":"Material Moving Workers, All Other","slug":"material-moving-workers-all-other"},{"code":"53-7051.00","title":"Industrial Truck and Tractor Operators","slug":"industrial-truck-and-tractor-operators"}],"industries":[{"code":"326199","title":"All Other Plastics Product Manufacturing","slug":"all-other-plastics-product-manufacturing"},{"code":"493110","title":"General Warehousing and Storage","slug":"general-warehousing-and-storage"},{"code":"325211","title":"Plastics Material and Resin Manufacturing","slug":"plastics-material-and-resin-manufacturing"}],"jobPosting":{"@context":"https://schema.org","@type":"JobPosting","title":"Material Handler","description":"Job Summary\n\nThe Hilo Driver is responsible for supporting injection molding operations through the safe and timely movement of finished goods and returnable packaging.
