This position ensures production work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with established schedules, quality standards, work instructions, and program requirements.\n\nThe Production Supervisor coordinates closely with the Director Factory Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and other functional teams to address production issues, manage priorities, maintain workflow, and ensure program deliverables remain on schedule.\n\nResponsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks\n\nSupervise and coordinate daily production activities supporting the Unusual Machines Program.\n\nAssign work, establish priorities, and monitor employee productivity and production progress.\n\nEnsure personnel have the required materials, tools, equipment, documentation, and work instructions to complete assigned tasks.\n\nMonitor production schedules and communicate potential delays, resource constraints, and other issues to the Director Factory Operations.\n\nCoordinate kitting, material staging, assembly and other production activities as applicable.\n\nVerify that production personnel follow approved procedures, work instructions, quality requirements, and safety practices.\n\nMonitor work-in-process and ensure completed work moves through the production process efficiently.\n\nCoordinate with the inventory personnel regarding material shortages, inventory discrepancies, and material availability.\n\nWork with Quality personnel to address inspections, nonconformances, rework, and corrective actions Director Factory Operations.\n\nIdentify production bottlenecks and report findings to Director Factory Operations.\n\nMonitor employee attendance, timekeeping, productivity, and adherence to assigned work schedules.\n\nProvide day-to-day direction, coaching, and feedback to production employees.\n\nAssist management with employee training, onboarding, cross-training, and development.\n\nMaintain a clean, organized, and safe production environment.\n\nEnsure tools, equipment, materials, and production areas are properly maintained and organized.\n\nTrack and communicate production metrics, status, issues, and accomplishments.\n\nParticipate in daily production meetings, program meetings, and other operational meetings as required.\n\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives designed to improve productivity, quality, cost, and schedule performance.\n\nEscalate significant production, personnel, quality, safety, or schedule concerns to the Director Factory Operation.\n\nEnsure compliance with company policies, procedures, safety requirements, and applicable customer or contractual requirements.\n\nOther Duties\nPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for the job. Duties, responsibilities and activities may change at any time with or without notice.\n\nQualifications\nMinimum Requirements\n\nHigh school diploma or GED required.\n\nAssociate degree, technical certification, or equivalent experience preferred.\n\n3–5 years of experience in manufacturing, production, assembly, material handling, or a related environment.\n\nPrevious supervisory or lead experience preferred.\n\nAbility to read and understand work orders, production documentation, drawings, and work instructions.\n\nStrong organizational and time-management skills.\n\nAbility to prioritize multiple production activities and meet deadlines.\n\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality.\n\nEffective verbal and written communication skills.\n\nAbility to work effectively with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Program Management, and production personnel.\n\nBasic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.\n\nAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.\n\nPreferred\n\nExperience supporting complex or low-volume/high-mix manufacturing programs.\n\nExperience with aerospace, defense, simulation, robotics, technology, or other technical manufacturing environments.\n\nExperience with ERP/MRP or manufacturing management systems.\n\nExperience with Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement practices.\n\nExperience supervising production teams.\n\nFamiliarity with inventory control, kitting, assembly, integration, and testing processes.\n\nEssential Mental Requirements\n\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\n\nProblem solving and reasoning skills to assist with resolution of issues.\n\nStrong organizational skills.\n\nCapability to interpret data.\n\nEssential Physical Requirements\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.\n\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear.
