The role involves\ninteracting with patients, positioning them correctly, administering contrast agents when needed,\nand ensuring accurate image acquisition for the radiologist to interpret. The CT Tech ensures\nsafety, maintains equipment, and follows protocols while providing compassionate care to\npatients.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nPerform CT scans according to established protocols and physician instructions.\nOperate CT scanners and related imaging equipment safely and efficiently.\nVerify patient identity, review medical history, and ensure appropriate preparation for exams.\nPosition patients correctly to obtain optimal imaging results.\nAdminister contrast media under approved guidelines and monitor patients for any adverse reactions.\nMaintain accurate documentation, including patient records, exam details, and contrast usage.\nEnsure compliance with radiation safety standards and ALARA principles.\nCollaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare staff to facilitate patient care.\nProvide compassionate and professional assistance to patients, explaining procedures and addressing concerns.\nPerform equipment quality checks and report any malfunctions to appropriate personnel.\nFollow all hospital and departmental policies, including infection control and safety procedures.\nQualifications\n\nARRT (CT) certification required (or ARRT (R) with CT registry eligible depending on facility requirements).\nState licensure as a Radiologic Technologist (if applicable).\nMinimum 1–2 years of experience in CT imaging preferred.\nBLS certification (AHA) required.\nStrong understanding of cross-sectional anatomy, radiation safety, and CT imaging protocols.\n\nPrecision Scans is an equal-opportunity employer, committed to cultural diversity.
