{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"3d00fe751f3fa808a7b93116","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/3d00fe751f3fa808a7b93116","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/3d00fe751f3fa808a7b93116","title":"Project Manager","description":"Job Title: Project Manager\nLocation: Onsite - Potential travel to Maine Office\nDuration: 12+ months\nTOP 3 SKILLS:\nLarge Modernization Project Experience\nCollaboration with IT teams\nBusiness Documentation\nDESCRIPTION:\nBMV seeks to contract a professional with IT-related project management experience to lead the business efforts surrounding modernization of our internal software applications.\nThis professional must sustain a functional relationship with their key counterpart, the IT Project Manager for Modernization.\nThe Project Manager directs, controls, administers, and regulates an enhancement or development program.\nThe Project Manager’s primary responsibility is to drive the entire effort from start to finish.\nThe Project Manager must ensure that the program is completed on schedule, on budget, and that the final product meets the business, technical, and established quality requirements.\nModernization is ongoing, and will run the course of multiple phases over the next 1-3 years, involving:\nA system upgrade to the driver license software\nThe translation of the vehicle software to a new language.\nThe merger of the two systems into one common application\nREQUIRED SKILLS:\nAccountable for the approval and sign-off of the program plan with customer representatives, such as portfolio managers, and all affected program stakeholders.\nAccountable for management of scope for the program and gaining agreement and approval of scope changes with customer representatives and affected stakeholders.\nBuild and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and customer representatives. • Direct work planning and scheduling design work.\nManage, and track the program progress against the program plan.\nServe as the primary point of contact for all program-related issues and resolution of issues.\nCoordinate and present proposals to agencies as necessary.\nIdentify and manage program risk and develop risk mitigation strategies, track to closure.\nEnsure team leads adjust and revise estimates when necessary.\nAnticipate issues and proactively address them.
