This is a full time position with GNS Electric.The General Superintendent provides senior field leadership by planning, organizing, directing, and controlling all field operations activities. This role is responsible for overall field execution, workforce performance, and operational alignment with company objectives related to safety, quality, schedule, and profitability.Position SummaryThe Electrical General Superintendent provides senior field leadership by planning, organizing, directing, and controlling all field operations activities. This role is responsible for overall field execution, workforce performance, and operational alignment with company objectives related to safety, quality, schedule, and profitability.The General Superintendent oversees multiple projects simultaneously and serves as the primary link between executive leadership, operations management, project management, and field supervision.Primary ResponsibilitiesLead and execute strategic field operations plans to enhance productivity, efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfactionOversee daily field operations across multiple projects, filling operational gaps as neededReview and approve jobsite execution plans related to labor efficiency, material utilization, scheduling, and cost controlEnsure foremen and field leadership clearly understand responsibilities, expectations, and performance standardsPerform regular jobsite walkthroughs and provide leadership with consistent field status updatesResolve conflicts with general contractors and clients as required, escalating outcomes and risks to executive leadershipPartner with operations leadership to select, develop, and retain qualified field personnelIdentify field training needs, initiate development plans, and recommend effective personnel actionsSupport field supervision in coordinating manpower levels with general contractorsCore CompetenciesTechnical and operational expertiseLeadership with accountability and transparencyProblem-solving and analytical thinkingFinancial and business acumenProject and workforce managementClear and effective communicationProfessional credibility and personal effectivenessWork EnvironmentPosition requires frequent jobsite presence across multiple active projectsWork performed in all weather conditions depending on project location and seasonMay work in confined or restricted spaces including utility rooms, crawl spaces, and unfinished structuresRequired use of personal protective equipment at all times as dictated by site conditionsAbility to work extended hours, including early mornings, nights, and weekends as requiredDisclaimerThe statements above are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.
