You will collaborate with colleagues in other engineering functions as well as production, quality, purchasing, planning and maintenance. You will be working on projects that result in a safer work environment, a higher quality product, a more efficient process, and a positive impact the company’s bottom line.\n\nResponsibilities:\nExamines equipment, processes, operations, and procedures to identify improvement opportunities in areas of safety, quality, throughput, and cost.\nImplement changes and modify operation standards.\nEvaluate vendor proposals for new equipment purchases.\nSelect & implement suitable manufacturing processes and apply modern organizational principles to make products at a competitive cost.\nIdentify & optimize current and new manufacturing processes using continuous improvement\nWork closely with production and maintenance to ensure equipment is operating in a like-new condition\nConduct Capability Studies and perform Time Studies\nProcess Development – may include Visual Work Instructions\nProduction support and process trouble-shooting\nCost (scrap, rework, cycle time, etc.) reduction\nSpecify tools, jigs and fixtures\nProject coordination and daily troubleshooting\nParticipate in Kaizen events\nQualifications:\nQualifications:\nBS in Material Science, Mechanical, Welding, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering or combined related experience required\nPreferred Qualifications\n2-4 years engineering project experience in a metal manufacturing is preferred\nExperience in Lean manufacturing techniques, capability studies, process mapping, FMEA, and root cause analysis\nMust be capable of taking a project lead role and comfortable in a fast-moving continuous improvement culture\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills\nMust be able to manage multiple tasks with aggressive deadlines\nThe ideal candidate is detail orientated and can understand complex process interactions\nMust be computer literate and familiar with Microsoft Office\nCreo & AutoCAD a strong plus\nEEO: Alliance Laundry Systems is an Equal Opportunity Employer of Minorities, Females, Protected Veterans, Individuals with Disabilities and persons of all Sexual Orientations and Gender Identities.
