Lifeguard

Job Title The purpose of this position is to supervise users of Symons Recreation Complex swimming pool and if necessary administer first aid for Richland County and the City of Richland Center. Qualifications High school diploma, at least 15 years old and successful completion of Red Cross lifeguard training Ability to advise and interpret on how to apply policies, procedures and standards to specific situations Ability to use functional reasoning judgment in performing routine functions following clearly prescribed standard practices Ability to utilize descriptive data and information, such as regulations and general operating manuals Ability to effectively communicate with customers, and Complex maintenance and clerical staff Ability to apply situational reasoning ability by exercising judgment, decisiveness and creativity within repetitive or short cycle operations covered by set procedures or sequences Ability to coordinate eyes, hands, feet and limbs in performing semi-skilled movements such as drawing, data entry and assembling Ability to handle, load and unload, move and guide material using simple tools.
