Our Company vigorously pursues opportunities to recruit and develop job candidates who have the desire and potential for becoming qualified employees through our affirmative action plan.\n\nM&J is seeking a Construction Inspector to perform daily field inspections on District Department of Transportation (DDOT) transportation projects, documenting quantities and work progress while verifying materials/testing, work zone traffic control, safety, and environmental compliance.\n\nResponsibilities\n\nPerform daily inspection of construction activities to ensure compliance with project plans and specifications.\n\nMonitor contractor operations including grading, drainage, paving, utilities, streetscape improvements, ADA ramps, and traffic control devices.\n\nPrepare Daily Inspection Reports documenting contractor activities and installed quantities.\n\nVerify materials used on the project meet required specifications.\n\nCoordinate materials testing and verify results.\n\nMonitor maintenance of traffic operations and jobsite safety.\n\nReport construction issues to the Senior Inspector or Resident Engineer.\n\nMaintain accurate field documentation for project records.\n\nQualifications\nRequired\n\nMinimum 3–7 years of transportation construction inspection experience.\n\nNICET Level I or II – Transportation Construction Inspection.\n\nACI Concrete Field Testing Technician – Grade I.\n\nDDOT Work Zone Traffic Control certification or ATSSA Traffic Control Technician (TCT).\n\nDistrict Erosion and Sediment Control Certification.\n\nPreferred\n\nNuclear Density Gauge Safety Certification.\n\nOSHA 10-Hour Construction Safety Training.\n\nMaterials testing certifications for asphalt or soils.\n\nBenefits\nM&J is a leader in providing quality engineering consulting services to a diverse and exciting client base.
