{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"3ce8f69e4cb9d6a8605679cc","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/3ce8f69e4cb9d6a8605679cc","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/3ce8f69e4cb9d6a8605679cc","title":"EHS Coordinator","description":"Description\nAssists in development and maintenance of Environmental Health & Safety programs, policies and procedures for Tomball Controls site in Seguin, ensuring compliance with federal, state and local laws and regulations.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nUnder direct supervision, will develop and implement safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all relevant environmental, health, and safety regulations.\n\nConduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and areas for improvement.\n\nWill assist in training employees on safety protocols and procedures to promote a culture of safety and compliance.\n\nInvestigate and report on any incidents, accidents, or near misses, and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.\n\nCollaborate with department managers and employees to address safety concerns and develop effective solutions.\n\nReview of safety, handling and disposal requirements for study test articles\n\nStay up to date on all relevant EHS regulations and industry best practices to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.\n\nManage and maintain all necessary EHS documentation, including incident reports, training records, and safety data sheets.\n\nConduct risk assessments and develop risk management plans to mitigate potential hazards.\n\nCommunicate regularly with management on EHS performance and progress towards goals.\n\nUnder supervision, will lead and facilitate safety committees and meetings to promote employee engagement and involvement in EHS initiatives.\n\nAssist with monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess and improve EHS performance.\n\nOversee and manage EH&S Contractors.\n\nRequirements\n\nBachelor’s degree in environmental science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field, experience may be substituted for education.\n\n3+ years’ experience working in environmental/occupational health and safety or related field. Prefer experience in a manufacturing/construction environment.\n\nHolds certificate or meets eligibility requirements for Associate Safety Professional, Certified Hazardous Materials Manager, or other related certification.\n\nOSHA 10 hour or 30-hour Certification.\n\nThe ability to use Microsoft Office at a proficient level.\n\nAbility to read and interpret technical documents and industry specific manuals.\n\nAbility to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.\n\nThe ability to use basic math and algebra skills.\n\nAbility to function independently in a multi-task environment, as well as part of a team.\n\nAbility to multi-task and maintain organization in a fast paced, changing environment.\n\nAbility to successfully operate independently with minimal guidelines.\n\nStrong planning and organizational skills.\n\nProven presentation and facilitation skills.\n\nAbility to maintain compliance with all aspects of EH&S state and Federal regulations with minimal supervision and oversight.\n\nEffective program management skills\n\nEqual Opportunity Employer/Minorities/Women/Veterans/Disabled\n\nTomball Controls is an Equal Opportunity and Affiliated Action Employer.
