We have an exciting Market Hog Selector opportunity in Carroll, IA. In this highly impactful role, you will select finisher hogs by assessing body composition according to company standard operating procedures and estimate market hogs' weight to meet sales requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Assesses hog body composition in finishing sites to project sales of pigs according to marketing requirements.
Identifies and marks hogs to be moved or sold to the appropriate destination.
Delivers load movement paperwork to necessary farm sites in a timely fashion.
Communicates regularly with supervisor and production about group performance and provides data through written reports and email correspondence.
Counts inventory and number of pigs scheduled for sale as needed.
Assists other team members to effectively meet department and company goals.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required: The details listed below are the required knowledge, skills, and/or abilities to perform this role. Reasonable accommodation(s) may be made to enable individuals to perform the essential functions of this job.
Associate's degree from a two-year college or technical school preferred; minimum 1+ years' swine production experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
A clear and valid driver's license and clean motor vehicle record (MVR) are required.
SCHEDULE
The hours and days of work are established by departmental needs and at the discretion of management.

Primarily an office environment with some need to work in the field.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts; and in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration.

The hours and days of work are established by departmental needs and at the discretion of management. After-hours, weekends, and overnight travel as requested.
