Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position.\n\nApplicants will be notified via phone or email within ten (10) business days of submittal.\n\nEssential Duties & Responsibilities\nServe as the ISSM and primary authority for multiple classified and unclassified systems.\nProvide strategic oversight and direction for system security programs.\nLead and manage RMF lifecycle across assigned systems.\nOversee continuous monitoring including log analysis, vulnerability management, and compliance.\nAct as liaison with Authorizing Officials (AOs) and stakeholders.\nLead Assessment & Authorization (A&A) activities and documentation.\nDirect POA&M management and risk mitigation.\nConduct and lead security reviews, audits, and inspections.\nProvide architectural guidance for secure system design.\nAdvise leadership on cybersecurity risks and strategies.\nEstablish configuration management and change control processes.\nLead collaboration across engineering and operations teams.\nSupport audits and compliance engagements.\nMentor NOC support personnel.\nRequired (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications\nEducation Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (Master’s preferred)\nLevel of Experience Requirements: 7–10 years cybersecurity experience, including 5+ years in an ISSM or senior security role.\n\nKnowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics\nExperience managing RMF processes for complex systems.\nActive Secret clearance required. Ability to obtain TS/SCI if needed.\nCISSP or equivalent advanced cybersecurity certification required. CASP+, CISM, or similar preferred.\nExpert knowledge of NIST 800-53, RMF and DoD cybersecurity policies\nExperience with Windows/Linux, vulnerability management tools, and enterprise security architecture.\nStrong leadership, communication, and risk management skills.\n\nPreferred\nMaster’s degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field\nExperience in DevSecOps, R&D, or large DoD programs.\nFamiliarity with tools such as eMASS, Splunk, or Xacta.\nPrior leadership experience.\n\nSupervisory Responsibilities\nThis position will have supervisory responsibilities.\n\nDOT Covered/Safety-Sensitive Role Requirements\nThis position is not subject to federal requirements regarding Department of Transportation “safety-sensitive” functions.\nNecessary Physical Requirements\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this role.
