The ideal candidate will possess development aptitude to write build and deployment scripts and demonstrate extensive independent judgment.Specific Qualifications:Experience managing mainframe z/OS and USS systems, with a working understanding of overall mainframe architecture and an emphasis on identifying manual processes for automationExperience with software lifecycle management in a mainframe environment, with a focus on establishing DevOps and CI/CD methodologies on mainframe systemsAdministrator experience with version control, change management and deployment tools such as ChangeMan ZMF and ChangeMan ZMF Client PackUnderstanding of CICS, Db2, SQL, and SDSFKnowledge of IBM High Level Assembler, IBM Enterprise COBOL, REXX, JCL, and ISPF DialogExperience developing and building mainframe softwareProficiency in project analysis, functional areas, and interoperability between areas to architect process improvement solutionsAbility to understand business problems and determine which aspects require optimizationDesired Qualifications:Experience in Agile Software Development MethodologyExperience with IBM Dependency Based Build (DBB), IBM UrbanCode Deploy (UCD), IBM IDz (or other Eclipse-based IDE), and RocketGitAbility to coordinate technology decisions with architectural requirements and constraints, including designing CI/CD pipelinesUnderstanding of Quality Control and Test AutomationExperience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git)Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)Proficiency in scripting (Bash, Python)Knowledge of containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes)Key Responsibilities:Design, code, troubleshoot and support mainframe build and deployment processesLead the modernization of mainframe build and deployment processesProvide Tier 2 and 3 on-call support for mainframe build and deployment processesAdminister software lifecycle tools (e.g., ChangeMan ZMF)Identify and recommend process improvementsDocument and maintain mainframe-related documentationSupport routine internal and external audits CC Pace is an equal opportunity employer.
