This role will entail the development of departmental plans, selection of appropriate goods, and ensuring customer satisfaction. You will be instrumental in maintaining all product selection, pricing, advertising, promotion and merchandising for the company, thereby contributing towards the achievement of departmental sales, inventory, and return on investment goals. if you have retail buying experience along with a Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business management or marketing, reach out to Jennie Joiner with Robert Half at 541-345-9930 or apply online today!Responsibilities Develop a comprehensive departmental plan that aligns with company objectives Ensure a balanced mix of goods that cater to customer needs and preferences Regularly review and adjust product selection based on market trends and customer feedback Monitor and manage product pricing, advertising, promotion, and merchandising activities Travel for store visits and trade shows to stay updated with industry trends and competitor strategies Collaborate effectively with the team to achieve common goals Actively participate in community-based initiatives that align with the company's ideals Continuously seek opportunities for internal growth and skill development Utilize strong mechanical aptitude to handle routine and complex tasks Ensure excellent customer service by promptly addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues.Skills Proficient in Buying Processes and Purchasing Activities Strong Communication skills Knowledge of Purchasing Department and Purchasing Functions Ability to manage Purchasing Materials Familiarity with Procurement and Supply Chain ManagementRequirements Proficiency in buying processes, including selection, procurement, and delivery of retail goods Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with vendors and internal teams Experience with purchasing activities, such as planning, raising purchase orders, and handling invoices Familiarity with purchasing department functions and ability to collaborate with other departments for smooth operations Understanding of purchasing materials and ability to ensure quality and timely delivery Knowledge of procurement strategies and ability to implement them effectively Experience with supply chain management and ability to optimize processes for efficiency Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously Detail-oriented and able to maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other important data.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
