It takes the imagination and passion of all of us—from design and engineering to the manufacturing and marketing of our billions of MedTech products per year—to look at the impossible and find transformative solutions that turn dreams into possibilities.\n\nJob Description\nJob Summary\nThe Senior Manager EHS (Sr Mgr EHS) will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive Environmental, Health, and Safety programs across Waters/BD operations to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and foster a safe working environment.\nJob Responsibilities\n\nDevelop, implement, and manage EHS policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA).\n\nConduct regular EHS audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and non-compliance issues, recommending and overseeing corrective actions.\n\nLead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and implement preventative measures to minimize future occurrences.\n\nDevelop and deliver EHS training programs to employees at all levels, promoting a strong safety culture.\n\nManage hazardous waste programs, ensuring proper handling, storage, and disposal in accordance with regulatory requirements.\n\nOversee industrial hygiene programs, including exposure monitoring and risk assessments.\n\nCollaborate with various departments to integrate EHS considerations into all business operations and projects.\n\nPrepare and submit all required EHS reports to regulatory agencies and internal stakeholders.\n\nManage EHS budget and resources effectively.\n\nStay current with EHS regulations, best practices, and emerging trends to continuously improve EHS performance.\n\nAct as the primary point of contact for EHS regulatory bodies during inspections or inquiries.\n\nJob Qualifications\n\nBachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.\n\nMinimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in EHS management, preferably within the life sciences or manufacturing industry.\n\nCertified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent certification highly desirable.\n\nThorough knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant federal, state, and local EHS regulations.\n\nProven experience in developing and implementing effective EHS management systems.\n\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.\n\nExcellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and engage diverse stakeholders.\n\nDemonstrated leadership abilities with experience managing EHS teams or programs.\n\nProficiency in EHS software and data analysis tools.\n\nAbility to travel occasionally as required.\n\nAt BD, we prioritize on-site collaboration because we believe it fosters creativity, innovation, and effective problem-solving, which are essential in the fast-paced healthcare industry.
