Includes continuous improvement development for analysis techniques to meet needs of our customers on cutting edge technologies.\nRole And Responsibilities Here’s What You’ll Be Responsible For:\nResponsible for daily AFM instrument operation, analysis data acquisition, and providing timely, high quality analytical reports for fab process and tool qualification and for investigating process issues.\nAid in root cause analysis and provide analysis solution logistics via AFM including surface topography characterization, nanomechanical properties, electrical characterization or other advanced AFM measurement mode.\nAble to recognize analysis improvement opportunities and lead projects in terms of quality, improving efficiency and adding new capabilities.\nSkills And Qualifications Here's what you'll need:\nB. S. to PhD in Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry or closely related discipline.\n3 or more years AFM analysis tool hands-on experience.\nExpertise in AFM instrument daily operation and data analysis required.\nExpertise in semiconductor cross-section preparation methods.\nExperience with CAFM, SSRM, SCM, AFM-IR, TERS, sMIM, KPFM.\nUnderstanding or expertise in other surface analysis techniques.\nKnowledge of semiconductor processes and device physics, solid background on materials physics and chemistry.\nGood communication and interpersonal skills.\nPrevious analytical lab experience preferred.\nExcellent problem solving ability.\nProficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, statistics software.\nMust be able to work for long periods sitting at instruments and handle small samples.\nThe current base salary range for this role is between $76,000 - $145,000. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance .\nTotal Rewards At Samsung Austin Semiconductor, base pay is just one part of our total compensation package.
